Knock Novena: Whispering with God How do you pray?` is the theme for this year`s National Novena to Our Lady of Knock at Knock Shrine. The Novena continues until 22 [nd] August. Voluntary Graveyard Clean Up: In the Tulrahan, Logboy, Kildarra old graveyard there will be a voluntary clean up on Sunday, 25 [th] August at 2p.m. This is to tidy up the grass in the old graveyard that currently is starting to over grow. It would be greatly appreciated if all members of the community come on the day with strimmers, rakes and whatever else can keep this graveyard tidy. Heritage Week 2024: Ballyhaunis Tidy Towns are organising a family friendly Heritage and Nature Guided Walk to celebrate National Heritage Week on Sunday, August 25 [th], starting at 11am. at Ballyhaunis Community Hall. Join Tidy Towns members and ecologist Dr. Mary Tubridy, author of the Ballyhaunis Biodiversity Action Plan, for a tour of the local geological, historical and biological features. All are welcome. Positions Available: There are positions available in the Rural Social Scheme in the Claremorris, Brickens, Ballindine & Irishtown areas for secretarial work, outdoor work, kitchen work, van drivers, among many others. To be eligible, you must be in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment and have access to an active herd number.
